We will explore the role of attachment in children’s development and the impact that different attachment styles have on children’s cognition and behaviour. This understanding will help you empathise more with children who are poorly attached. We consider implications for learning and for teaching in the classroom and consider strategies to reduce the impact of attachment difficulties on their everyday lives.
