What do we mean by mental health and how will we know when we have it right? We will highlight the features of good mental health before exploring the circumstances that put children at higher risk of mental health problems, and the signs of emerging distress that communicate these difficulties. You will find out about simple strategies to use with pupils in the classroom to help them reduce emotional arousal, and conversations to support pupils with mental health problems so that you feel more confident to resolve them.
