This course brings grammar alive by demonstrating how grammatical techniques are used authentically in children’s texts. Experienced trainer and education writer, Rachel Clarke, takes participants on a trip through her personal library as she demonstrates how the grammar taught in KS1 and KS2 is used by experienced children’s writers.
Course Outcomes:
• Build familiarity with the use of grammar for authentic writing
• Use children’s literature as a source for grammar teaching
• Experience learning activities linked to the grammar requirements of the national curriculum
