Aylesbury: Looking after the mental health of your pupils
Suitable for all staff
Partnership Schools - FREE / Non-Partnership Schools - £50 per session
What do we mean by mental health and how will we know when we have it right? We will highlight the features of good mental health before exploring the circumstances that put children at higher risk of mental health problems, and the signs of emerging distress that communicate these difficulties. A Social Emotional Mental Health Needs Map will show who is responsible for provision for mental health, from universal needs through to highly specialist. You will find out about conversations to support pupils with mental health problems so that you feel more confident to resolve them. A checklist for what the school should do to develop good mental health will conclude this session.
