Developing conceptual understanding at greater depth is one of the cornerstones of the national curriculum. Teachers need to become highly skilled at using rich questioning to secure learning and then deepen understanding so that it ‘sticks’ and can be applied across many subject areas. This two hour course will provide delegates with the research-based justifications for why questioning is so important and a range of practical models which can be used back in the classroom.
