Acquiring a wide range of vocabulary for comprehension and application is a fundamental requirement of the current national curriculum. Statistics and research have revealed that the language gap at five years old for disadvantaged pupils has a significant impact on outcomes later in life. This two hour course explains the moral imperative for providing pupils with a workable vocabulary, the thinking that is required for planning and delivery in the classroom and practical suggestions and materials for delegates to use back in school.
