The course is embedded in research and takes teachers through research-led approaches to teaching spelling effectively. The course includes a crash course on key spelling terminology including morphology, etymology, orthography and phonological approaches to spelling. The course is practical, meaning that attendees will return to the classroom with practical approaches to teaching spelling across the primary phase.

• Explore teachers’ beliefs about how children learn to spell
• Expand understanding of the terminology associated with spelling
• Provide course delegates with practical approaches for teaching spelling

This course is suitable for teachers in KS1 and KS2.

This is a remote training course. Delegates will receive their login details in a separate email one week ahead of the training session.
