Partnership Schools - FREE / Non-Partnership Schools - £60 per delegate or £300 for the whole programme

The Early Career Teacher Programme is for teachers who have finished their NQT year. This new programme is an excellent opportunity for anyone in their second year of teaching, and especially for those who have already worked with us during their NQT year. This programme gives individuals the opportunity to develop their teaching expertise further.

Delegates may attend some or all of the six sessions during the academic year. These sessions will focus on:

  • Effective personal management: Time management and work-life balance, building resilience and personal efficiency. Being kind to yourself as well as being an effective teacher.
  • Managing additional adults and supporting vulnerable groups. Getting the best out of your support staff and helping them to develop alongside you.
  • Leading a subject for the first time. Monitoring and measuring impact. Increased responsibility and increased accountability; supporting as you start to support others.
  • Understanding assessment and data. The critical role of formative assessment; understanding what Ofsted does and doesn’t use or want to see!
  • Observing lessons. Looking at learning, being self-reflective and putting pupils at the heart of everything.
  • Holding challenging conversations/active listening. Develop your skills of managing difficult situations and planning for positive outcomes.

Please note: Teachers in their 3rd and 4th year of teaching may also find these sessions useful and are welcome to attend.
