Parents continue to play a pivotal role in successful outcomes for schools, yet they continue to be underutilised as partners in the education process. Building strong, respectful relationships that enable effective communication are critical, yet not always easy! Time constraints, different agendas and access to parents can make this priority a challenge. In this session we explore what gets in the way, how to overcome those barriers and how to win over parents and keep them on side. We include parents who are more difficult to engage with.
