Writing is a complex process for teachers and pupils. This course takes you on a journey from planning, through drafting and on to editing to help you raise your confidence as a teacher of writing. Included in the course, is a section on modelled and shared writing, one of the aspects of writing that many teachers find particularly challenging.
The course is practical, so expect to write your own short texts to reinforce the techniques shared!
Session Outcomes:
• Establish an agreed writing teaching sequence
• Build teacher confidence in teaching all aspects of the writing teaching sequence
• Participate in practical writing activities to replicate in school
