The school systems and structures which allow for staff performance to be fairly managed will be the basis for then learning how to manage performance through appraisal. The role of monitoring and development will also be covered and to complement this, skills in holding necessary conversations will be explored. With the caveat that schools will have particular policies in place, some examples of support plans will be shared and discussed. The specific needs of delegates will be addressed in the second session by allowing individuals to share questions, scenarios and issues they are facing so that the course leader can tailor the session accordingly. 

The course leader, Juliet Adloune, will draw on her experience and expertise in School Improvement as well as her own leadership.
