On this course, Rachel Clarke shares techniques and approaches to bring writing in KS1 alive. During this course, Rachel explores different story structures, grammar in context, writing for different purposes and the place of modelled and shared writing within the writing teaching sequence.
The course is practical, so expect to write your own short texts to reinforce the techniques shared!
Course Outcomes:
• Extend understanding of how to teach writing using a range of fiction and non-fiction texts
• Demonstrate how to embed grammar in writing teaching sequences
• Undertake writing activities that can be replicated in the classroom
