‘Switch on, sit back and learn’ this session will focus on one small area of learning and will enable delegates will take away strategies/information that they can put into action immediately.
The focus of this one hour, lecture style remote session is Smashing Sentences.
Clear, accurate sentences are essential for written communication. The course considers the essential ingredients required for sentence writing and applies this to explore some of the common challenges children encounter such as subject/ verb agreement, comma splicing and run-on sentences.
Course aims:
• Explore the grammatical elements required for good sentence writing
• Demonstrate practical approaches to teach sentence writing
• Provide course delegates with ‘take away’ ideas to embed in their teaching.
