Lois Beshiri, previously worked with the National Centre for Computing Education (NCCE) as a Primary Lead and PDL. As a result of the offer from computing hub moving solely online PEP:mk are now able to offer a mixture of face to face and online sessions.
This comprehensive course is designed for new subject leaders in computing, focusing on enhancing their understanding of the core responsibilities associated with the role across different school contexts. Participants will utilise the Computing Quality Framework's seven dimensions to assess their school's current computing status, ensuring relevant and up-to-date school policies are in place. The course provides in-depth insights into the national computing curriculum, assists in developing a tailored curriculum intent, and improves curriculum implementation to meet diverse learner needs. Attendees will also explore effective assessment strategies, including OFSTED expectations and various monitoring methodologies, to ensure progression in computing.
