This course aims to equip educators with the essential skills required for effective assessment in primary computing. Participants will understand the key elements that need to be assessed within the curriculum and recognise appropriate techniques for both formative and summative assessment, along with their optimal application. The course will also explore various methods for gathering and storing evidence of student progress. Attendees will leave with a selection of ready-to-apply tools and techniques designed to streamline their assessment practices and reduce workload, thereby enhancing the overall learning experience for their students.
